SA-linked Man Utd starlet bags big award
Manchester United starlet Elyh Harrison was awarded the Denzil Haroun Reserve-Team Player of the Year award for the 2023/24 season.
The shot-stopper has been a big feature of the English giant's U/18 and U/21 sides, helping the former to a domestic double as they bagged the Premier League North and Premier League Cup with the help of the 18-year-old. Harrison was born in England, but also has South African citizenship, which makes him eligible to feature for Bafana Bafana at this point in his career. After the young goalkeeper was handed the award, United's Director of Academy Nick Cox was full of praise for the budding star, and highlighted his maturity.
"This variety of experiences will stand him in great stead as he continues his development as a really exciting young goalkeeper.
