Alleged cybercrime kingpin James Junior Aliyu made his second appearance in the Randburg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. It is alleged Aliyu conducted his criminal activities from South Africa and swindled dozens of US citizens out of millions of dollars through email and text messages.
During his second appearance in the Randburg Magistrate's Court, the prosecutor, advocate Deon Barnard, told the court they had received the extradition documents from the US and were ready to proceed. Following his arrest, police said Aliyu was allegedly part of a cybercrime ring involved in phishing, internet scams, and money laundering.Photo Supplied Supplied
