“It has the making of a special night,” the official said, adding that Rutgers “turned the lights on” for its all-time great game against Louisville in 2006. This one will be far more of a spectacle, including a lights show, drone show, fireworks and more as the Scarlet Knights challenge last year’s national runner-up.Rutgers announced two sellout crowds for night home games in 2022 — both losses to Iowa and Nebraska. Both games rank in the top eight in total crowd size in Rutgers history.
Rutgers, which will enter Friday’s 8 p.m. kickoff as a betting favorite by 2 1/2 points, can start 4-0 for the first time since 2012.
