Artillery and armored vehicles are vital resources for both sides, deep into the third year of full-scale war in Ukraine.
Russia lost 247 vehicles and nearly 100 artillery systems in Ukraine since the start of the month, according to Kyiv, as fighting rages on across the eastern front lines.Between early on June 1 and the morning of June 3, Russia lost 39 tanks, 55 armored personnel vehicles and 153 vehicles of various other types, including fuel tanks, according to statistics from Kyiv's military. In the same period, Moscow also lost 96 artillery systems, Ukraine's numbers indicate.
Over the weekend, Ukraine's military said that Kyiv had destroyed 880 Russian armored vehicles throughout May, the second-largest number of vehicles lost in a single month since the outbreak of full-scale war in February 2022.In a separate statement, Kyiv said May marked the highest number of Russian monthly artillery losses in Ukraine of the war, reaching 1,160 systems 'destroyed.
