Regatta Eve celebrations
starting at 5 p.m. with the School of Rock House Band at the bandstand on the north bank of Quidi Vidi Lake. Entertainment continues at that location until 7:30 p.m. when the party moves to the Quidi Vidi Brewery beer tent with Rube and Rake followed by the Old Contemporaries. Metrobus will be providing shuttle service between Confederation Building and King’s Bridge Road from 5 to 9:30 p.m. as some roads around the lake close at 5:00.
The big question is whether the races go ahead tomorrow. Meteorologist Tiffany Cheeks says Thursday will be the nicer of the two days. Wednesday will be cloudy with light shower activity and winds around 20 to 30 km/h. Thursday’s forecast calls for sunshine, high 24 and light winds.
