The RCMP say the visit to Canada by King Charles III, who was then Prince of Wales, earlier this year cost the federal police force nearly $450,000.

King Charles visited Canada as part of a royal tour to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who died in September.
