To help shield needy families from the biting cold winter, Round Table B17 donated over 270 blankets to scores of underprivileged residents of Blue Sky informal settlement on July 23.
This gesture of goodwill forms part of the Boksburg-based charitable organisation’s annual Winter Knights project.
Van Rooyen thanked Graphite Security for providing their service to ensure the handover goes smooth and those who contributed to the blanket drive to ensure the initiative is a success. Khanyeleni Mantsha thanked Round Table for the support. However, he appeals for more donations after loosing everything he owns in a shack fire.
Members of the Round Table were surrounded by the crowd of people who lined up to benefit from the organisation’s donation drive.
