The trial against multiple murder accused former policewoman Nomia Rosemary Ndlovu was abruptly postponed when she appeared for the second day of her testimony at the Johannesburg High Court
It further emerged that Ndlovu had received about R119 840 following the death of her niece, Zanele Motha, after taking out three policies on her life.In June that year, she allegedly invited Motha to stay at her house for two weeks. A few days later, Motha was found lying on the side of the road. She had been so severely attacked that her head injuries rendered her unable to speak. She died a few days later.
Ndlovu also received maintenance on behalf of her child from Mabasa’s employers. A trust fund account had been opened for the child, and Ndlovu got R760 until the child’s death in 2016. During cross-examination, Ndlovu also denied tampering with evidence at her deceased sister Audrey’s house after her death.
