Comedian Roseanne Barr references that time ABC fired her from her eponymous sitcom in a brand new teaser for her upcoming stand-up special.

Four years since she was booted out of her own show, Roseanne Barr pokes fun at being fired in a new stand-up comedy teaser. Not long after ABC revived the hit comedy Roseanne, the sitcom was suddenly pulled off the air after Barr made a racist comment against Valerie Jarrett, a former Obama administration advisor. Since the actor was the face of the series, not to mention creatively involved, firing Barr essentially meant the end of the Roseanne revival.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Fox Nation released a new teaser for the sitcom star’s new stand-up special, Roseanne Barr: Cancel This!, where Barr pokes fun at being fired by ABC. Watch it below: Since being sacked from Roseanne, Barr has spoken up about the matter. In her initial statement, she blamed voting for Donald Trump to be the reason for being fired. She was then apologetic for her social media post, although she maintained that it was misunderstood. Roseanne Barr: Cancel This!, which will start streaming on February 13, is the first time that she's opening up about the incident with a more comedic approach.

Interestingly, however, The Conners doesn't shy away from referencing Roseanne, especially as the sitcom tackles the grieving process for all its members. Considering the status of Barr's character in the series, it's very unlikely that she will be able to return and reclaim her old spot in the project. However, ABC can still physically feature her through flashbacks and even a dream — something that the original show did.

At this point, the chances of seeing Barr appear in The Conners are slim to none. Despite that, the family's matriarch will always be part of its story considering the impact she has had on her children, Dan, and Jackie. It will be intriguing to see what Barr has to say about the success of ABC's Roseanne sequel in her upcoming stand-up special.
