Wayne Rooney says Cristiano Ronaldo’s comments in his interview were ‘strange’, but has hailed his former teammate as ‘fantastic’ MUFC
: “I don’t know why he criticises me so badly… probably because he finished his career and I’m still playing at a high level.Now, Rooney looks to have extinguished the spat with his former Manchester United teammate, as he delivered a classy response to Ronaldo’s fiery comments.
“Again, it’s not a criticism, what I’ve said is age comes to all of us and Cristiano obviously is feeling that and he’s finding it hard to deal with that.
