Cristiano Ronaldo somehow escapes red card on disastrous night for Al Nassr
The 37-year-old was surprisingly only given a yellow card for the incident and perhaps could have warranted further punishment.That booking was dished out byOliver was not involved in Champions League action this week and instead took charge of Ronaldo’s crunch match.
He ended up awarding two penalties to Al Hilal, both of which were scored by former Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo.
Ronaldo did have the ball in the net himself with 15 minutes to go, to reduce the deficit to 2-1, only to be flagged offside. The 2-0 defeat was a huge blow to Al Nassr’s title bid as they remain three points behind Al-Ittihad, who have played a game fewer.
