Ronaldinho's Son 'Moved' Into Shock Position
Ronaldinho's son, who is currently on Barcelona's books, has reportedly been moved into a surprise position by his coaches after recently training with the club's first team.After a clip emerged of him online in Barcelona colours, it appears 19-year-old Joao Mendes, son of the legendary Ronaldinho, has been turned into a left-back.
While it is unknown as to whether or not the move is permanent, people online were able to watch the teenager, who joined Barca's youth set-up as an attacking midfielder, put in strong challenges on the left side of defence. The hopeful footballer joined the Catalan giants last year after impressing during a trial, and will be looking to follow in his father's footsteps.
Ronaldinho represented the Blaugrana between 2003 and 2008, during which he scored 94 goals and assisted 70 more strikes in 204 appearances across all competitions. The Brazil icon became a marquee signing in Joan Laporta's first spell as club president following his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain, and claimed the Ballon d'Or award in 2005.
