Mitt Romney told reporters Monday morning that he thinks new revelations from former Trump national security adviser John Bolton will increase the number of Republican senators who vote in favor of calling at least Bolton to testify in the Senate impeachment trial.
Romney, asked if he was making this comment based on conversations with other senators, said he had “spoken with others who have opined on this as well.” The New York Times reported Sunday evening that Bolton’s new book, due out in March, includes a first-hand account of Trump telling him he was holding back nearly $400 million in military assistance to Ukraine until the government there announced investigations into Joe Biden and the 2016 election.
