ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- Rocky River City School District students return to the classroom Tuesday and Wednesday . The first day for students in grades 1-12 is Tuesday. Wednesday is the first day for preschool and kindergarten pupils.
Back in Rocky River, Superintendent Michael Shoaf noted some new facilities that will be greeting students upon their return. He also noted the sparkling new tennis courts that middle school students and members of the high school tennis teams will be trying out soon. He noted that the middle school had already hosted an orientation for incoming sixth-grade students on Aug. 16. Rocky River High School had an orientation session for freshmen and all new students on Aug. 18.“Homecoming will take place on Sept. 29,” Shoaf said. “The district and PTA will host the food truck tailgate and parade prior to the football game.”“The title of the Town Hall is ‘Behind Their Screens: What Teens Are Facing and How Adults Can Support Them,’” Shoaf announced.
