"Reinventing Elvis" examines Elvis Presley's relationship with producer-director Steve Binder, who strongly encouraged Presley to do the 1968 NBC television special, which proved to be a turning point for the star. - Courtesy of Paramount+ Once Binder convinced Presley to step onto the set, the superstar became increasingly comfortable. However, for as close as they got over the course of making the special, they never had direct communication again afterward.
