The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says Alexa Bartell was talking on her phone with a friend when she was struck by the large rock on a rural Colorado road.
Alexa Bartell, 20, of Arvada, Colorado, died on April 19 when a rock was thrown threw the window of her vehicle. ARVADA, Colorado — A 20-year-old woman was killed as she spoke with a friend on her cellphone when a large rock was thrown through the windshield of her car as she drove on a rural Colorado road.
Authorities are now trying to determine who was responsible for throwing the rock into Bartell’s vehicle at about 10:45 p.m. on April 19. The sheriff’s office says the rock might have been thrown from the side of the road or from a passing vehicle.
