Downey Jr is on board in a production capacity through his company Team Downey, while the publication states that the spin-offs will be centred around characters who haven't been introduced in the two films.. The actor previously hinted at how he'd want a third movie to set up spin-off shows, but it's not known if it's still the case that the series are reliant on the movie or could do just as well standalone.
."Conan Doyle is the definitive voice in that arena to this day, so to me, why do a third movie if you're not going to be able to spin off into some real gems of diversity, and other times and elements?
