On Tuesday, the Boston Athletic Association announced that four-time Super Bowl winner Rob Gronkowski will be the grand marshal for this year’s Boston Marathon.Gronkowski follows in the footsteps of another member of Boston sports royalty, David Ortiz, who served as grand marshal for the 2023 race.
The foundation is currently constructing a new playground along the Charles River Esplanade—a popular running site.“Giving back has always been a priority in my life,” Gronkowski said in a statement. “When I first got to New England, Mr. Kraft and the Patriots Foundation ingrained in the team the importance of giving back to the community that gives back to us. And this community has supported me throughout my entire career.
