JOHN'S, N.L. — Work to replace culverts on the Trans-Canada Highway near Norris Arm will detour traffic in the area from July 28-29.
In a news release, the Department of Transportation advised of detours on a two-lane section of the Trans-Canada Highway near Norris Arm. Municipal Construction Ltd. is tapped with replacing culverts and repaving about 11.6 kilometres of the Trans-Canada Highway between Road to the Isles — Route 340 — and Norris Arm.
Officials said that while work is ongoing, eastbound and westbound traffic will detour through the Town of Norris Arm via Route 351. The closure will begin at 12 p.m. on July 28, and the area will reopen to traffic at 8 p.m. on July 28.Drivers are asked to reduce their speed, pay attention to traffic control and travel cautiously through the community.Share story:
