The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has advised Sunday Bisi, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in the state, to address issues with a proper frame of mind. In a statement signed by Tajudeen Lawal on Sunday, the Osun APC Chairman, the party described the statement attributed to Bisi as a needless diatribe.
A war of words had ensued between the APC and Governor Ademola Adeleke over the recent commissioning of some projects in Ilesa, which the state government had claimed was executed through the Tax Credit Initiative by the governor. The party had also accused the state governor of inviting his Edo State counterpart, Godwin Obaseki, for the commissioning. It claimed that an individual, Rasheed Sarumi, an Ijesa indigene, fully funded the road in question.
He also asked Lawal to educate himself about Tax Credit Arrangement, as infrastructure finance weaponry deployed as a policy, offering tax credits to individuals, organizations or businesses as incentives for specific activities. 'These tax credits effectively lessened the tax liabilities of the recipients with the state also having stipulated infrastructure plugging in return.
