Drivers and members of the public are being asked to avoid the area
Nottinghamshire Police have released a statement following an incident in Sherwood. On Thursday, November 24, at 8:45am, officers received reports of a collision between a police vehicle and car.
Due to the incident, Edwards Lane was closed shortly before 9:30am at Fiveways roundabout. Chief Inspector Riz Khan, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were called to Edwards Lane, Sherwood, shortly before 8.45am today , following reports of a collision between a police vehicle and a car. “An officer was checked for injuries at the scene by our colleagues at East Midlands Ambulance Service. Police remain at the scene as an investigation is underway to determine exactly what happened and a temporary police cordon has been set up while this takes place.
“ in Edwards Lane, so we would please ask drivers and members of the public to avoid the area while our investigation continues.” Anyone who has information or dash-cam footage of what happened is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 136 of 24 November 2022.
