A flood alert has been issued for the lower River Ribble area at Preston and River Darwen at Walton-le-Dale.remains in force until 6pm on Wednesday .The
and Darwen are expected to run high along with many of the brooks through Fulwood and Lea, as well as the Ribble at Samlesbury.The Darwen, where it comes through Higher Walton and Walton-le-Dale is also expected to see a high river level. The flood alert area covers: River Ribble from Samlesbury and the River Darwen from Darwen including Blackburn, Preston, Walton-Le-Dale, Pleasington and Higher Walton.
