Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro hailed his charges for being patient after the victory over Stellenbosch on Sunday afternoon.
The Soweto gained the advantage in the MTN8 semi-final after rallying from behind to defeat Stellenbosch 2-1 at Athlone Stadium.
"When we were about to score, a goal came, the advantage for Stellenbosch and in the second-half we did everything. We reduced the distance, we were patient enough, we managed to control the game. You're gonna face counter-attacks for sure but overall I think it was a good performance," he said. "That's the key because I don't really like to play against ten , especially against a team like Stellenbosch, strong, well organized. Trust me, inside you don’t feel that you're one man up than the opponent because there's no space, they can manage to fulfil those key spaces really well," he said.
