Riveiro: Doctors Understand Pirates Slump
DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA - NOVEMBER 04: Jose Riveiro, coach of Orlando Pirates during the Carling Knockout, Quarter Final match between Richards Bay and Orlando Pirates at Moses Mabhida Stadium on November 04, 2023 in Durban, South Africa.
There have been questions on what actually went wrong after Buccaneers started the season on fire, managing to beat the likes of Royal AM 4-2 and handed Sekhukhune United a 5-0 defeat, among their early season victories. "Physiologically, professional football players need 72 hours to recover between the games, this is something that is not coming from Jose Riveiro, it's coming from the doctors and different research," Riveiro said in a press conference.
