A former Orlando Pirates has finally been unveiled by his new club, after parting ways with the Buccaneers ahead of the new season
on a free transfer. Friday, the deal was finally announced by the Western Cape-based side. They unveiled the former Pirates man through a video on
, with the caption “The wait is over”. The midfielder was then presented with his jersey, spotting the interesting choice of jersey 93.ahead of the 2019/20 season. Fresh from helping the KZN side survive relegation, he became hot property and even earned Bafana Bafana recognition. He was expected to come into the Buccaneers fold and take their midfield to the next level. In his first season he played 21 times, failing to score, but laying one assist.
With his lack of involvement and the writing was arguably always on the wall for Makaringe. Pirates were also increasing numbers in the midfield department, making matters worse for the 31-year-old. Having also attracted interest fromin the past, he looks to have chosen City as the most viable option for his future. It now remains to be seen if he can revitalise his career at the club.
