Ring doorbell catches thieves 'stealing vital Amazon parcel' from woman's doorstep days after she came home from hospital
An woman from Burnley says she's 'worried about leaving her house' after she watched a person appearing to steal her parcel from her doorstep via her Ring doorbell camera, with police now on the case.
Victoria says she and Mollie returned home from the hospital-where she was on an IV for two days- on Monday night. The following day Victoria had taken Mollie for a walk when she got a notification on an app on her phone.The app told Victoria that a delivery driver was at her front door via her Ring Doorbell. As she opened up the app to see if the driver needed a response, she didn't think twice when she saw that he left the package at her door and got back into the van.
The door bell footage shows what appears to be a group of three people walking swiftly past Victoria's house. One out of the three bends down to pick it up and dashes off. Victoria says her parcel itself would have been of no use to the people who took it. For her, it included vital reflective gear for her dog, something that helps her and Mollie stay safe whilst out and about.
To make matters worse, Victoria says when she reported the incident to Amazon they agreed to refund her the amount of money she spent but that she would have to re-order the vital items stolen. Only, the reflective gear has now more than doubled in price to nearly £50, as there is only one left in stock.
