The 18-year-old is enjoying a growing status in Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side.
Manchester City overcame a second-half hiccup to defeat RB Leipzig 3-1 in their second Champions League group stage match of the season. A clever Phil Foden opener was cancelled out by an unexpected Leipzig equaliser from Lois Openda shortly after the break. City controlled the game throughout but had to wait until the 84th minute to find their next goal.
The win takes City to the top of the group with a double-header against Swiss side Young Boys next up in the competition. But as for Wednesday night in Germany, there are several moments Blues fans may have missed.READ MORE: Man City's best player vs RB Leipzig could be hard to ignore At half-time, the 18-year-old stormed up to the referee after feeling aggrieved by a challenge that went uncautioned. While the action itself runs a risky line, it shows that the teenager is growing in confidence - the Lewis of last year would not have showed such boldness.
With the game at 1-1, Lewis had grabbed the ball for a throw-in after jostling with Xavi Simons. Guardiola stepped in to avoid an altercation but received the wagging tongue of referee Artur Manuel Soares Dias, although he avoided a booking.
