Billionaire Ken Griffin donated another $25M to Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin in an 'all in' bid to unseat Gov. J.B. Pritzker.
AURORA, Ill. -- Republican candidate for Illinois governor Richard Irvin spoke about the homestretch to the primary after his campaign got another mega million dollar donation.
"Listen, we've got over 7,600 individual donors, you know, and we're looking to make sure that we spread our message and our word and because of it," Irvin said."That's why people are donating to the campaign because they want to see some change in the state of Illinois."Griffin has said he is"all in" to defeat fellow billionaire JB Pritzker.
"If he doesn't have to go through the media filter he didn't direct his message, and create his own message and send it directly to the voters through his campaign ads, he doesn't have to be questioned, he doesn't have to be challenged by either reporters or his opponents," said Laura Washington, ABC7 Political Analyst.
