Private equity firm RH Managers has announced the completion and commencement of operations of the Herolim Private Hospital in Mthatha. Specialising in healthcare investments, the firm referred to the new private hospital as a “cutting-edge healthcare facility”.
In a statement released by the firm it mentioned that the R270 million investment was divided equally between debt and equity. ADVERTISEMENT CONTINUE READING BELOW The hospital is situated in Callaway, at the centre of Mthatha, and currently houses 76 beds, with plans to expand to 130 beds in the near future.
Africa Health Care owns and manages multiple entities of its own, as well as oversees the management of hospitals on behalf of RH Managers and other entities. Its objective is to bring private healthcare services to peri-urban areas in South Africa, making Herolim an ideal component of its strategy Quinton Zunga, CEO of RH Managers, expressed his enthusiasm about the new development, stating: “Mthatha represents a growing economic hub in the Eastern Cape, deserving of a private healthcare facility. We are proud to contribute to meeting this need and bringing advanced healthcare closer to residents.
“Aligned with our mission to extend private healthcare to peri-urban areas in South Africa, Herolim Private Hospital is a pivotal component of our strategic vision,” he continued.
