In the new education world, everything counts except real teaching

We are “committed to cultivating.” Really good to know. It was the “commitment” part that had me worried. Have you actually “cultivated?” Which if you had, we would not need the assurance you were committed to it.Why, “safe and inclusive learning environments,” of course. We all know, these are the best kind of “environments.” No one would surely wish you to commit to unsafe and exclusive environments. Thanks for the reassurance.

And as for being committed to cultivating them, can you give a timetable when this “cultivation” can be harvested? Is there a time set? Let us know when we can send out the reapers. We learn that both students and staff are “working in collaboration.” What does that mean? It is good, I admit, to know they are not in conflict. But are there now committees and town halls of “staff and students?” Please, before this anodyne bulletin, how many staff met with how many students?Rex Murphy: For schools and apparently the PM, parents are the new 'deplorables'

All this stew of non-communication will do is to sadden every single person who has ever had a faint respect for the English language. And leave many parents even more troubled about the education their children are receiving in Ontario schools than before.
