Popular Belfast restaurant Flame may have moved to a "new and improved" location in the city centre this summer but it has certainly retained all of its burning ambition.
Since reopening at its new premises on July 5th, Flame, operated by Belfast Hospitality Ltd, can now provide an all-day food offering for the building’s many office workers, as well as a wider city centre clientele and visiting tourists Flame has long been famed for its strong ethos of working instinctively with fire ovens to marry together the very best local ingredients and working with a range of fantastic Northern Ireland suppliers to bring the best produce from this part of the world straight to your plate.
We started off by perusing the cocktail menu and ordered some Brambles for the gin-lovers amongst us - myself included - and some French Martinis for the vodka fans. Everyone else at the table also went for this option which consisted of a dish of sizzling chicken breast, perfectly juicy and tender, with sauteed peppers and onions. It was accompanied by a side of fluffy braised rice and peas and a fiery peri-peri sauce.
