Maduka joined Maritzburg in June after departing Royal AM, despite leading the club to an impressive third-place finish last season.In joining Maritzburg, Maduka replaced Ernst Middendorp after the German tactician's fourth stint with the KwaZulu-Natal outfit.
So much has been simmering from the Maritzburg camp about Maduka’s management style but what hasn’t helped his situation is the fact that results have not been forthcoming. The former Malawi international is without a win in the last six matches which has left Maduka facing a bleak future at the club.
The 52-year-old's fate was sealed after the club's latest defeat to Golden Arrows on Friday which came just days after a heavy 5-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.The Team of Choice has now conceded the least and conceded the most in the league.Davids has previously been with the club and will enjoy the benefit of only playing his first match in charge on the last Friday of the year in December.
