Little DonkeyWhere: #125 9220 Glover Rd., Langley | 604-371-4775Open: Daily from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; littledonkey.caWhen Katerina Balaban decided to open Little Donkey two years ago, her friends and family were sure the restaurant would specialize in Greek food.“My kids were a little dumbfounded at first, like, ‘What? No Greek restaurant?’” she recalls with a laugh.Growing up in a Greek household, Balaban was much more familiar with souvlaki and taramasalata than Mexican food.
“A place that crossed generational boundaries, so that young people could meet, parents with their newborns/kids could enjoy without the stress of more formal restaurants, and those who are in their retirement years.”The curated menu features a selection of handmade burritos, each with a locally inspired name — and globally inspired ingredients — as well as a few beverages and local beers to enjoy on the side.
