On the flip side, restaurants in cities with no vaccine mandates are reporting higher numbers of reservations made this month compared to pre-pandemic data. The data show states with stricter mandates also have sinking reservations overall compared to 2019. Illinois, for example, saw its biggest dip on New Year's Day with at -72%, and its highest day on Jan. 14 at -26%. While California saw its worst day at -44% on Jan. 10 and best day on Jan. 16 at -16%.
