Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the passing of a club legend whose career spanned an impressive 24 years.On Friday, Amakhosi released a statement in which they mourned the loss of former striker-turned-defender John ‘Buick’ Makwazi, who has died aged 77.

The Johannesburg-born former professional joined Chiefs from Moroka Swallows Big XV in 1975 and participated in a successful era for the club, winning a double in his first season."Today Kaizer Chiefs mourn the loss of a legendary figure following the passing of former defensive stalwart, John ‘Buick’ Makwazi, at the age of 77.
