Response to Mondli Mkhanya | Why you are wrong on Buthelezi
In last Sunday’s editorial, Mondli Makhanya highlighted the desperate behaviour of politicians in campaign season to his personal vendetta against the late Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi , Makhanya claimed that the longest-serving traditional prime minster to the Zulu monarch and nation should not be honoured, because lives were lost during the liberation struggle when the ANC turned its violence against Inkatha supporters.
Of course, by this reasoning, King Shaka International Airport should be renamed, because King Shaka was neither a resident nor a councillor of eThekwini, and had never cast a vote in Durban either.
