Nottinghamshire Police says it is working to establish the circumstances that led to the deaths
Operators of a Nottinghamshire residential home say they are working in full co-operation with police after two unexpected deaths at the facility. Nottinghamshire Police confirmed two men died in two days at the Dannsa House home in East Markham, a village near Newark.
The first died on Friday , with a heavy police presence seen in the village after the second death the following day. A small police presence was still at the scene as of 6.30am on Tuesday . Dannsa House is a facility that provides care for five young adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs. It is operated by the Kisimul Group, which also runs the Salisbury House residential home in East Markham.In a statement on the incident at Dannsa House, the group said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those who died.
Some East Markham residents previously said that the incident had put "everyone on edge" in the village. Dannsa House is located on Top Cart Gaps, next to East Markham's village hall. Detective Inspector Claire Gould, of Nottinghamshire Police, previously said: "Officers are working on behalf of the coroner to establish the circumstances which led to the deaths. We are satisfied there is no risk to the wider community and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased at this tragic time."
