The pooch is unable to fully empty her bladder, and she needs to take supplements to keep her front legs nice and strong. After being rescued by rehoming charity, Amanda’s Spanish Rescue Dogs, she moved all the way to Okehampton, Devon, in December 2020, to be with her loving new family.Her owners decided to raise money for the charity – who are continuing to support Hope with medical care – by climbing up Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in England and Wales.Of course, they couldn’t leave Hope behind, so she used her fancy set of wheels to take on the impressive 1,085 metre climb.
Hope and her family achieved this impressive feat on Saturday, September 9 after four and a half hours of climbing, and they raised more than £2,577 for theHope’s devoted owner, Kerry Rushton, said: ‘It took us longer than expected mainly because of the attention she received but there was a very, very tough section near the top.‘The terrain was incredibly tough going and along with it being incredibly steep, parts of this section were totally impassable by Hope.
