Controversy erupted when tweets surfaced that appeared to have been posted by the centre’s senior consultant, Laith Marouf, including one that said, “You know all those loud mouthed bags of human feces, a.k.a. the Jewish White Supremacists; when we liberate Palestine and they have to go back to where they come from, they will return to being low voiced bitches of [their] Christian/Secular White Supremacist Masters.
Hussen had said in a separate statement over the weekend that his team was “working to rectify this matter immediately” as calls grew for the government to cut the centre’s funding.
