Rachel and David were held hostage in their home by Hamas militants and their son was involved in their rescue.Rachel and David are a couple in their 60s and were held hostage for 20 hours in their own home in Ofakim, a city in war-torn Israel, by Hamas militants following the deadlywhere at least 900 people have died, and 2,600 others have been injured in Israel, according to Israeli officials.

She signaled to her son with her five fingers spread over her face to tell him there were five hostage takers in her home.

Evi takes me to meet them. Rachel is beaming - smiling because she’s free, but also perhaps avoiding the trauma and shock of what she’s been through.
