Seahawks star running back Chris Carson is reportedly retiring from the NFL due to a neck injury.
Carson played five seasons in Seattle but played just four games in 2021 after suffering a"spot issue" on his vertebrae that occurred due to wear and tear. He was out from Week 5 through to the end of the season.
In his time with Seattle Carson tallied 3,502 rushing yards on 769 carries for 24 touchdowns, as well as recorded 107 receptions for 804 yards and seven receiving touchdowns. Alex Collins replaced Carson as the No. 1 running option last season, but this year the Seahawks will look to the newly extended Rashaad Penny and Michigan State tailback Kenneth Walker III, who Seattle drafted No. 41 overall in the second round of the NFL Draft.
