Lecturer at Unisa Mametlwe Sebei says reports of maladministration are misleading.
Professional Ethics lecturer at University of South Africa , Mametlwe Sebei, says reports from independent assessor, Professor Themba Mosia and the ministerial task team on university chaired by Vincent Maphai is misleading to the public.
The report describes how millions of rands were misused under the watch of both the university’s council and management. This follows an urgent high court application brought by Unisa’s council yesterday after Nzimande indicated his intention to announce his final decision today.Approximately a month ago, Nzimande had issued a stern ultimatum to the Unisa council, giving them seven days to provide a compelling explanation for why the university should not be subjected to administration.
This ultimatum came as a response to growing concerns and revelations about the university’s alleged misconduct. This website uses cookies to improve your experience.
