The replacement for the almost decade old Mazda CX-5 has reportedly received approval for unveiling in 2026.
Current KF generation CX-5 will be a decade old when its replacement finally debuts.The much speculated replacement for the current KF generation Mazda CX-5 has reportedly been approved for introduction from early 2026 as one of the first models to display the brand’s upcoming new styling language.
Reported in February last year as facing an uncertain future admits the introduction of the US-market only CX-50, CX-60, CX-70, CX-80 and CX-90 that all form part of the brand’s While the Arata, a co-development between Mazda and Changan, will go on-sale in China next year powered solely by an electric powerplant, the CX-5 will use a combination of hybridised petrol engines in both plug-in hybrid and mild-hybrid forms, the latter under the e-SkyActiv banner.
