👀 Reports suggest that one of Juventus' star players has given the thumbs-up to a move to Bayern Munich. SLInt MORE:
Almost immediately, rumours started to circulate regarding clubs that wanted to pounce on the opportunity to sign the Dutchman, with Chelsea said to be the frontrunners to land the 22-year-old's signature.
The Blues are keen to bolster their defence having recently seen Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger depart for LaLiga, but it seems they could yet come second in the race to sign De Ligt., Bayern have leapt ahead of Chelsea in the pecking order to secure the Netherlands international's services, and have agreed personal terms with the former Ajax Amsterdam man.
The same report claims that, along with the help of head coach Julian Nagelsmann, Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has managed to convince De Ligt of the project at the Allianz Arena, while the defender is said to be a massive admirer of the Bundesliga giants. Having reportedly paid €85.5 million for him in 2019, the Old Lady will be looking to recoup a large sum of that fee and then some if they are to let their highest-paid player leave Turin.
Salihamidzic will be keen to start negotiations with the record Scudetto winners soon in order to avoid any possible interference from Chelsea and seal De Ligt's move.
