Chelsea have reportedly drawn up a four-man shortlist of defensive targets after missing out on Jules Kounde, who joined Barcelona. SLInt MORE:
Having lost both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen to Real Madrid and Barcelona at the end of last season, the Blues are now eager to bolster their defensive line for the new season.
The Blues have already signed Senegal international Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli, but were unable to sign Kounde despite offering a reported £55Million. The Evening Standard have now reported that Chelsea have identified four potential defensive signings, which includes Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard.
Bild journalist Christian Falk added that that Pavard would be open to making a switch to Stamford Bridge but only if the right offer came in for him.
