The town of Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove is getting some long-awaited repairs to aCouncil has long advocated for something to be done with the stretch of road which runs along the coastline and has a very dangerous drop-off.
Last year, barricades were erected in the area as a temporary measure. Now, the provincial government has included a realignment of 0.2 km of the road in its multiyear roads plan, to be completed in the 2023-2024 highway construction season. The Town of Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove would like to advise residents of the Town, and the public, that Marine Drive continues to pose serious safety hazards around the area of the Veterans Memorial.
