Congressmember said she has contacted law enforcement following release of footage at her condominium complex
Rep. Sara Jacobs’ office said it has contacted law enforcement over privacy and safety concerns after a political campaign prominently featured her San Diego condominium in a series of videos.
“In a time of heightened violence and threats of violence against elected officials, we take this matter very seriously. We have contacted law enforcement about the matter and will not be commenting further,” said Morgan Hill, spokesperson for Jacobs, a Democrat who is running for re-election to the 51st Congressional District.
Before issuing nomination papers, the Chula Vista City Clerk’s Office calls the Registrar of Voters, who maintains voter records, to verify that the address provided is the address at which a candidate is registered to vote, said City Clerk Kerry Bigelow.
