The Craighead County Veterans Monument Foundation held their annual Memorial Day ceremony to honor those who gave their lives for their country.

Whether you went to the lake, the pool, or just spent the day relaxing at home it’s important to remember the reason we have Memorial Day . “It’s more than just the official start of summer, it’s more than just barbecues and sales," said Brian Mason.

The CCVMF hosts events on major military holidays to celebrate those who have served, especially those from our area. “Our mission is to honor and remember the veterans of Craighead County and we look forward to doing that each time we can," Mason said.
