The remains of 14 South African National Defence Force (SANDF) soldiers who died in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have finally returned home after multiple delays. The soldiers were part of the Southern African Development Community Mission (SAMIDRC) and died during intense fighting against the M23 rebel group in January. A memorial service will be held in their honor on Thursday, February 13th, at the Air Force Base Swartkop in Johannesburg.
