The win against Kaizer Chiefs has restored the confidence in Cape Town City who are targeting the MTN8 trophy after losing out to Mamelodi Sundowns last season.
The Citizens are oozing with confidence after defeating Amakhosi 2-0 in the league on Tuesday and are targeting AmaZulu in their MTN8 quarter-final match at Athlone Stadium this coming Saturday.The Mother City team’s head coach Eric Tinkler is convinced that his side can turn the tables against Usuthu in cup after losing against them two weeks ago in the league,
“Normally the league starts with the MTN8 but we are already five games in and now we face AmaZulu. We obviously already played them in the league, so we know what to expect from them. Unfortunately, we lost against them away, but I thought the performance on the day wasn’t bad, we had chances to possibly win that game.
